Responsibilities- Responding to end‑user service requests
- Probing for information from end‑users to identify problems and establish needs
- Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
- Liaising with technical specialists to resolve end‑user issues
- Planning and implementing components of IT related projects
- Installing and configuring endpoint devices with applied security measures
- Conducting needs assessments to determine end‑user technical requirements
- Providing consultative advice on IT issues
- Providing audio‑visual (AV) room support, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV equipment.
- After‑hours on‑call support may be required.
- Please note that remote work may be required on some Saturdays.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education and equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including frontline user support; hardware and software troubleshooting; and support for audio‑visual equipment.
- Required experience with Intune computer management and deployment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with experience supporting a wide range of applications, including (but not limited to) email applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, Linux and macOS, with a demonstrated ability to expand existing skill sets.
- Experience guiding stakeholders through access management in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Teams.
- Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, imaging, troubleshooting, and repairing Windows and macOS desktop computers and printers.
- Required experience using Active Directory tools for identity and access management.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba switches, and network certificates. CCNA or CCNP certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL databases is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of academic and administrative staff, with the demonstrated ability to teach individuals and groups with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to non‑technical audiences.
