Data Science Manager, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Systems Engineer
The Application Engineer designs, builds, and delivers repeatable, high-impact industry solutions on the Seeq platform to accelerate time-to-value for process manufacturers (O&G, Chemicals, Pharma, Power, and related industries). Solutions include use case discovery, solution design, packaging of accelerators/templates, pilot-to-scale delivery, enablement, and lifecycle ownership across customers and partners. Seeq builds advanced analytics software for industrial process data and operates as a remote-first company with a strong culture of collaboration and iteration.
What You Will Do:Design and Build Industry Solutions
- Author scalable solution components (accelerators, templates, calculators, KPIs, dashboards, workflows) in Seeq Workbench, Organizer, and Data Lab aligned to priority industry use cases and personas.
- Package solutions for reuse with documentation, example datasets, validation plans, and success criteria ready for partner and customer delivery.
- Lead pilots and scale-out projects to validate value, harden solution patterns, and transition to operations with customers and partners.
- Define solution success metrics, value hypotheses, and verification methods; measure and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
- Connect solutions to enterprise data ecosystems and downstream tools (e.g., OPC UA/OPC HDA; SQL databases, data lakes/warehouses; Databricks; Azure ML; AWS Lambda; Power BI/Tableau) following security, scalability, and performance best practices.
- Partner with Industry Principals, Product Management, and Engineering to align solutions to roadmap, close capability gaps, and influence prioritization.
- Support Product Marketing and Solution Consulting with credible demos, narratives, and GTM assets; assist targeted pre-sales engagements where solution expertise is required.
- Create enablement kits (deployment guides, reference architectures, playbooks) and mentor Seeq partners to scale delivery globally and in local languages.
- Gather field feedback, monitor adoption, and iterate on solution quality, usability, and learnability; contribute patterns into Seeq’s solution library and training content.
- Process manufacturing experience in O&G, Chemicals, Pharma, Power, or related industries; ability to translate operational objectives into analytics-driven workflows.
- Time series analytics proficiency
, including feature engineering, event/condition detection, asset segmentation, anomaly/quality logic, and KPI design. - Historian and OT data experience with platforms such as AVEVA PI, IP.21, Delta
V, Wonderware, or GE Proficy. - Hands‑on Seeq and data skills
, including creating solutions in Seeq (Workbench/Organizer/Data Lab) and working with Python and SQL for solution logic, automation, and packaging. - Customer‑facing delivery experience leading pilots/POCs to production; strong value articulation, scope management, and cross-functional alignment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering, Applied Math, Data Analytics, or related discipline— or equivalent relevant experience.
- Industry-specific methods such as batch analytics (pharma), reliability analytics, energy/carbon accounting, APC/optimization exposure.
- Familiarity with cloud/data platforms and modern industrial data architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP, Databricks).
- Experience enabling partner ecosystems and creating reusable delivery assets (templates, playbooks, training).
- Strong technical communication across SME, manager, and executive audiences; proven in demos, workshops, and solution storytelling.
- The employee is regularly required to communicate effectively, work with digital tools, and collaborate across time zones in a remote environment; occasional travel to customer sites, partner locations, or events may be required (typically 10–25%, varying by project portfolio).
