Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a mission-focused program supporting space and intelligence systems. In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional engineering team responsible for maintaining the reliability, resiliency, and survivability of mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Linux systems, automation, and enterprise service reliability, along with the ability to work onsite at Buckley Space Force Base.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the uptime, health, and availability of mission-critical systems.
- Automate systems administration and operational activities to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise services and infrastructure.
- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, and Configuration as Code practices.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling using Linux-based scripting languages.
- Contribute to process improvements, reliability enhancements, and team best practices.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support program objectives and service-level commitments.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
. - Strong Linux systems administration background.
- Experience with automation, scripting, and enterprise service management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success maintaining system uptime and reliability.
- Experience with IaC/PaC/CaC frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of modern Dev Ops, SRE, and observability best practices.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership within a collaborative environment.
