This role provides deep technical expertise at the intersection of remote sensing, aviation systems, and intelligence support to the warfighter. You will work closely with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements sponsors, system developers, and NGA Key Components to ensure GEOINT equities are fully integrated into next-generation collection, exploitation, and dissemination systems.
In this position, you will shape the future of GEOINT by forecasting warfighter needs, identifying capability gaps, and advancing interoperability across sensors, data, and IT systems that underpin future operational dominance.
Key Responsibilities Future Warfare GEOINT Integration Coordinate with DoD requirements sponsors, systems developers, and NGA Key Components to identify, analyze, and resolve GEOINT-related challenges affecting future warfare systems.
Advocate for warfighter GEOINT needs across collection, content, open IT, targeting, and foreign disclosure and release processes.
Produce high-quality written analysis on GEOINT equities, risks, and opportunities associated with emerging and future systems.
Remote Sensing & Content Development Survey government, industry, and academic research and development efforts to identify emerging GEOINT technologies, data sources, and analytical methodologies.
Discover and leverage new sources of GEOINT content and analysis to enhance NSG capabilities.
Support NGA Foundation GEOINT Intelligence Mission Data (IMD) planning and data production by providing a warfighter-centric perspective.
Systems Assessment & Risk Mitigation Conduct supportability assessments of future warfare systems to evaluate GEOINT content requirements and identify capability gaps.
Analyze DoD program risks associated with under-resourcing GEOINT content and develop mitigation strategies to address operational shortfalls.
Assess communications, storage, and dissemination capabilities across all warfighter echelons to ensure end-to-end GEOINT support.
Interoperability & Standards Coordinate with DoD requirements sponsors and system developers to advance GEOINT data, sensor, and IT interoperability across future warfare systems.
Assist programs in understanding and implementing NSG Defense IT Standards Registry (DISR) GEOINT standards.
Identify and promote end-to-end Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) opportunities, including Structured Observation Management (SOM), Object-Based Production (OBP), and Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) within Defense Common Ground System (DCGS) environments.
Unified GEOINT Operations Coordinate with DCGS system developers to strengthen DoD contributions to Unified GEOINT Operations (UGO).
Ensure alignment between system development efforts and operational GEOINT requirements across the Intelligence Community and DoD.
