Aboutthe Role Product Strategy/Ownership & Delivery
- Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for AI‑powered features and services.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and emerging AI capabilities.
- Run structured discovery (user interviews, mapping workflows, analysing constraints) to validate real user and business needs.
- Define and track success metrics to measure product performance and impact.
- Design, build, and run rapid AI proof‑of‑concepts using tools such as Python, JavaScript, Lang Chain, OpenAI APIs, vector databases, or internal frameworks.
- Experiment with LLM prompts, fine‑tuning, embeddings, and RAG pipelines to explore feasibility of new ideas.
- Translate insights from prototypes into actionable product recommendations and engineering‑ready specifications.
- Work with engineering teams to deliver high‑quality AI features into production.
- Work with Engineering and QA teams to agree clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and system requirements.
- Support engineering with model evaluation, dataset requirements, testing approaches, and responsible AI guidelines.
- Prioritise effectively across competing demands, balancing experimentation with scalable delivery.
- Support the production of Decisioning roadmap, ensuring alignment to our strategic goals and customer outcomes.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Drive alignment through clear documentation, demos, and evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Champion ethical, safe, and transparent use of AI across the business.
- 3+ years in Product Management or a similar role (Senior PM or Technical PM experience desirable).
- Proven experience delivering ML/AI‑driven products, platforms, or features.
- Ability to independently design and run PoCs using scripting languages (Python/JS), APIs, or low‑code tooling.
- Understanding of LLMs, embeddings, vector search, RAG, model evaluation, and prompt engineering basics.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear experiments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts and evaluation frameworks.
- Understanding of ethical AI, governance, privacy and UK data protection considerations.
- Experience working with Agents, orchestration frameworks, or MCP‑based architectures.
- Knowledge of financial services or other regulated sectors.
- Curious and experimental—comfortable learning through doing.
- Technically confident without needing to be a full‑time engineer.
- User‑centric mindset with strong discovery discipline.
- Bias towards action and rapid prototyping.
- Able to operate autonomously in a fast‑paced, emerging domain.
- Hybrid working model: most teams spend around three days a week in the office and with customers, balancing in‑person collaboration with flexibility to work remotely.
