We are seeking a Remote IT Business Systems Analyst with healthcare experience to support a major healthcare technology transformation. This role focuses on transitioning multiple hospital information systems into a unified, integrated Clinical Information Solution (CIS). The successful candidate will work on both ongoing system support and project-based initiatives, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, functional design, technical assessments, and collaboration with clinical and technical teams.

Candidates must have strong experience with healthcare IT systems, including application upgrades, consolidations, enhancements, or new implementations, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical specifications. Expertise in workshop facilitation, business and system analysis documentation, system integration, and report development is essential. Knowledge of local healthcare technology environments and fluency in English, with French as an asset, is highly preferred.

This is a full-time, remote position with occasional after-hours or weekend work, reporting to a senior technical director, with an initial two-year term starting January 26, 2026, and potential renewal options.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing Clinical Information Systems (CIS) and related clinical applications.

• Troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and ensure systems meet architectural standards.

• Monitor support queues and manage requests, including application changes, end-user support, and configurations.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, SMEs, and stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.

• Identify impacted systems, dependencies, and perform current-state assessments.

• Conduct gap analysis to inform solution design and technical strategies.

• Prepare functional design documentation for upgrades, consolidations, data migration, and integrations.

• Engage with downstream vendors to ensure system readiness for CIS implementation.

• Design and facilitate workshops to validate requirements and collect new business or IT needs.

• Create and maintain detailed process, solution, and workflow documentation, including integration diagrams, user guides, and training materials.

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of business and technical requirements to support project planning and execution.

• Log and monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, proposing mitigation strategies.

• Work closely with clinical teams to understand workflow impacts and application dependencies.

• Engage with business owners, operational leads, and vendors to gather information and confirm use cases.

• Communicate feedback, issues, and risks to the Application Lead and project teams.

• Support preparation of readiness assessments, cutover plans, and governance materials.

• Support both steady-state and project-based efforts, occasionally performing approved after-hours or weekend work.

• Ensure all work aligns with technical standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Systems Analyst or IT Business Analyst, including requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design, and technical documentation.

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst working with large, complex information systems and/or Clinical Information System implementation projects; healthcare projects are an asset.

• 5+ years of experience working on application upgrades, consolidations, enhancements, or new application implementations.
