DevOps Engineer; Azure & Acquia

TECKpert is seeking an experienced Dev Ops Engineer to support the migration and redevelopment of a government website to a cloud-hosted environment managed by Acquia on Microsoft Azure. This role will be instrumental in configuring the environment, establishing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and supporting the secure deployment of Drupal-based applications.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Environment Configuration & Setup

  • Architect and configure infrastructure within the Acquia-managed environment on Azure
  • Integrate Drupal with Git Lab CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment
  • Provision scalable and secure cloud resources (PaaS) using tools like Terraform or Azure ARM templates

• Dev Ops Automation & CI/CD

  • Design and implement CI/CD workflows to support version-controlled deployments and automated testing
  • Manage branching strategies, merge policies, and deployment gates

• Security & Compliance

  • Enforce security best practices including access management, secrets handling, and network policies
  • Support FedRAMP compliance within the hosting environment by configuring logging, monitoring, and audit trails

• Collaboration & Integration

  • Work closely with developers, designers, and analysts to support integration of custom modules, themes, and third-party services
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment cycles with zero-downtime

• Monitoring & Support

  • Monitor environments using tools such as Azure Monitor, Cloudflare, or equivalent
  • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues rapidly to ensure uptime and performance targets are met

This opportunity is for a contract position with pay commensurate with experience up to $100 per hour.

A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 5 years in Dev Ops, with at least 3 years in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Minimum 5 years experience with Acquia hosting and Drupal deployments
• Experience with Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops, or Jenkins for CI/CD
• Experience with Scripting languages (Bash, Power Shell, Python)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration (Docker)
• Experience with Cloud IAM and security configuration
• Experience with Monitoring/logging tools (Azure Monitor, Cloudflare, Crowd Strike)
• Familiarity with USWDS themes and Section 508 compliance
• Experience supporting government agencies or projects requiring FedRAMP environments
• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, AWS Dev Ops Engineer, or equivalent certifications
