Primary Responsibilities

· Understand client requirements and convert the ask into technical terms/user stories.

· Capture data requirements to support creation of multiple streams of data into our client’s data warehouse

· Researching and documenting data mart inputs and outputs. Source to target mapping, business rules applied to ETL.

· Understanding system data elements and existing data structures, as well as, data lineage connecting source to target.

· Identify data dependencies and carry out impact assessments

· Proactively identify opportunities for process, systems, and other efficiency improvements

· Design data integration/ETL jobs using Data Stage and its foundation tools in a SQL server and windows environment

· Developing a plan/approach for data quality analysis and ongoing data quality monitoring

· Collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

· Works closely and collaboratively with management, stakeholders, team members, development team, DBA and infrastructure teams to optimize the overall data management delivery
Specific Project/Platform Requirements

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

· Knowledge and demonstrated experience with IBM Data Manager and Datastage tools

· Good understanding and demonstrated experience with SQL code

· Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in Data Quality Analysis is required

· Experience in ETL development, maintenance and monitoring

· Experience with reverse engineering the source to target mapping to gain data insights

· IBM:
Data Manager, Info Sphere Data Stage

Other

Skills Required:

· Spark SQL

· PowerBI

· Logical and physical data modeling

· Ability to produce ETL specification based on the physical data model

· Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, time management, priority planning and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to understand and interpret requirements and design documents

· Ability to write and maintain testing documentation

Assets:

· Experience working in an Agile environment/team

· Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French)
