Health Informatics Data Analyst and Task Lead

Internal Application:
Health Informatics Data Analyst and Task Lead Data Science | Remote in Arlington, VA | Full Time | From $85,000 to $125,000 per year Responsibilities

• Data Analysis:
  Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), descriptive statistics, and basic predictive modeling to identify trends, patterns, and key insights in healthcare data.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with senior data scientists, analysts, and healthcare professionals to understand project requirements, deliver analytical reports, and support decision-making.
• Leadership:
  Provide direction to junior analysts working on the task; manage schedule and quality of work.
• Data Visualization:
  Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders, including policymakers and healthcare providers.
• Report Writing:
  Assist in preparing high quality 508 compliant technical reports, presentations, and documentation to summarize the results of analyses.

• Excellent communicator with an ability to effectively engage in a technical conversation oriented to maximize business value
• Is comfortable working in the weeds, but is also comfortable coming up for air and understanding the big picture
• Able to communicate in person and in writing without relying on generative AI
• Experience with healthcare data formats and models including ICD-10, OMOP, USCDI, etc.
• Experience with healthcare data analytics
• Experience with healthcare data interoperability using HL7 FHIR
• Experience with analyzing complex sampling survey data
• Proficiency with SAS
• Proficiency with Stata, R, and/or Python
• Proficiency with Databricks, AWS Glue, or similar
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance and pass a background check
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics or Data Science from an accredited educational institution based in the United States
