Job Description
IC is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist with experience in a modern analytics technology stack and is capable of building pipelines and front-end dashboards and applications. Understand business requirements and translating into technical work. Design and implement features in collaboration with team engineers, product owners, data analysts and business partners using Agile / Scrum methodology. The candidate must have experience in modern interactive web applications and visualizations.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain statistical models.
- Build programs or systems that can take data and turn it into meaningful information that can be studied.
- Install continuous pipelines of large data sets so that data analysts/scientists can pull relevant data for their analyses.
- Build data workflows and machine learning models in a Databricks environment.
- Build visualizations using Python (Plotly, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.).
- Build interactive geospatial products using ArcGIS or similar software.
- Develop solutions with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Build interactive analytics applications using Shiny and similar packages/frameworks.
- Document current-state and target-state software architecture and create roadmap plans for success on various software components.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex solutions.
- Build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for business analysts to interpret.
- Make data accessible for evaluation and optimization.
- Coordinate activities with other technical personnel as appropriate.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 10 years of experience as a Data Scientist/Engineer/Administrator or similar role.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for education.
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Experience using Python or other scripting languages in data pipelines.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience with version control (Git, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction providing technical and non-technical support to multiple users.
- Capable of working under pressure, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends required on occasion.
- Experience providing services to the federal government is preferred.
- Requirements gathering and project management experience.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
