ResponsibilitiesAn Average Day: Provide expert‑level oversight, analysis, testing, and integration support for Service Now applications and workflows developed by third‑party vendors and customer teams, ensuring alignment with platform standards, OOB best practices, and enterprise governance requirements. Additionally, in this position you will:
- Perform governance and oversight for all third‑party developed Service Now workflows
- Conduct code analysis to identify conflicts, collisions, and deviations from best practices
- Guide third‑party developers toward maximizing out‑of‑the‑box (OOB) functionality
- Execute smoke testing and validation of received code/configurations
- Validate 508 compliance with customer accessibility office
- Coordinate with customer Cyber offices for security approvals
- Execute and report on Service Now ATF results
- Promote code through environments (Dev Test UAT Production)
- Support customer UAT processes and provide hands‑on assistance during testing
- Represent third‑party projects in customer change/release management processes
- Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions from third‑party developers to customer staff
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for integrated third‑party solutions
- Configure incident/problem reports and SLA tracking
- Must pass Federal Background Investigation (MBI) / Moderate Risk Level Tier 2, Public Trust
- Must be U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with a minimum of 3 consecutive years of U.S. residency from date of legal entry
- Must pass federal tax compliance screening
- Minimum 5 years Service Now development experience
- Minimum 2 years in Federal government environments
- Must have verifiable recent (within past 3 years) hands‑on experience delivering enterprise service‑management solutions in the IRS operational environment or an equivalent federal environment of comparable scale, governance, and compliance complexity.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing third‑party development and integration projects
- Knowledge of code validation, ATF testing, and release management processes
- Service Now development (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Client Scripts)
- Automated Test Framework (ATF) creation and execution
- Code review and conflict detection methodologies
- Integration testing and validation
- 508 accessibility compliance testing
- Cyber security approval processes (ATO, FISMA)
- Customer change management and CAB/ARB participation
- Required
Certifications:- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for applicable domains: ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, HAM/SAM
