This role plays a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role partners closely with teams across Azure Identity and Access Management, Networking, IT Operations, and Systems Engineering to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and long‑term architectural strategy.

This position provides technical leadership, drives cross‑team collaboration, and helps guide the execution of critical infrastructure initiatives. The Team Lead will contribute to innovation efforts, support system reliability and performance improvements, and help advance the organization’s technology roadmap. While not a people manager, this role influences direction, promotes best practices, and serves as a trusted technical advisor across the IT organization.

• Partner with the SVP, Systems Architecture to develop and execute long‑term infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Provide technical leadership across Systems Engineering, Azure Identity, Networking, and IT Operations by guiding best practices, mentoring team members, and supporting cross‑training initiatives.

• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by promoting modern infrastructure patterns, automation, and operational efficiency.

• Build strong working relationships with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.

• Contribute to the development, documentation, and maintenance of IT architecture standards, policies, and procedures.

• Ensure infrastructure designs and operational processes align with industry best practices, compliance requirements, and the organization’s security framework.

• Identify opportunities to streamline operations through automation, orchestration, and improved system design.

• Support the engineering and operational teams in executing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including planning, testing, and optimization.

• Assist with evaluating and selecting infrastructure technologies, tools, and platforms that enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Lead or contribute to technical assessments, root cause analyses, and post‑incident reviews to strengthen system resilience.

• Provide architectural input and guidance during project planning, design reviews, and major infrastructure initiatives.

• Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, partnering with teams to drive resolution and long‑term remediation.

• Promote alignment and collaboration across teams to ensure cohesive delivery of infrastructure services and solutions.

• Associate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.

• Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent.

• Progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud engineering roles supporting enterprise environments.

• Extensive experience with Azure and AWS, including identity and access management, networking architecture, compute, storage, monitoring, automation, and cost optimization.

• Proven technical leadership abilities, including mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and influencing architectural decisions without formal supervisory authority.
