The Cloud ArchitectThe Cloud Architect is the senior technical owner of cloud architecture decisions for the LOB – Cordis project. This role is responsible for defining secure, scalable, and reliable AWS architectures, acting as a technical reference for engineering teams and ensuring alignment with business and delivery goals.
What to Expect in This Role (Responsibilities)- Define and own AWS cloud architectures aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions following AWS best practices.
- Lead infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Cloud Formation).
- Establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud adoption.
- Act as a technical reference for development and Dev Ops teams.
- Oversee cloud security, access management, and compliance requirements.
- Support cloud migration initiatives and architectural evolution.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and agile ceremonies.
- Senior-level experience as Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in production environments.
- Proven experience designing cloud architectures for scalability and high availability.
- Proven experience leading on‑premise to cloud migration initiatives, including assessment, planning, and execution.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or AWS Cloud Formation).
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes / EKS).
- Strong understanding of cloud security and IAM concepts.
- Experience working in agile delivery environments.
- Conversational English (spoken and written).
- Experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- AWS certifications.
- Experience with cost optimization and cloud governance practices.
