Note: This position is contingent upon contract award, customer approval, and funding availability.

Eligibility Requirement: U.S. Citizenship due to contractual and security requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the migration of on‑premises infrastructure to AWS using both lift‑and‑shift and modernization strategies.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of event‑driven systems leveraging AWS‑native services (e.g., Lambda, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge).
  • Develop and maintain automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and other team members to deliver secure, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud solutions.
  • Support the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using industry‑standard tools (e.g., Git Lab, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline).
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK.
  • Implement configuration management and automation using tools like Ansible.
  • Troubleshoot and support cloud‑based applications in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment.
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement AWS cloud cost optimization strategies, incorporating Fin Ops principles.
  • Participate in Agile teams, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives, delivering incremental value through iterative development.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in cloud engineering, Dev Ops, or software development, with a focus on AWS technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with lift‑and‑shift migrations and event‑driven system design in AWS.
  • Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, Power Shell, or similar for automation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and AWS best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation.
  • Demonstrated Fin Ops ability to reduce cloud spend through cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and applying Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Associate, Professional, or Specialty certifications in AWS that are relevant to cloud development (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and modern software engineering practices.

  • Familiarity with government security credential requirements and ability to obtain necessary clearances.
