This role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in safeguarding enterprise applications and maintaining cybersecurity compliance at the highest level. You will monitor real-time security activity, analyze threats, and support the organization’s cybersecurity posture, including compliance with CMMC Level 2 and progressing toward Level 3. The Security Analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage incident response processes, and serve as a key point of contact with external Security Operations Center (SOC) providers.
This position provides hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, and risk assessment in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment. Ideal candidates are proactive, analytical, and eager to contribute to the protection of sensitive systems and data.
- Monitor SIEM alerts, triage incidents, and escalation as needed to ensure timely resolution
- Advise on the tuning of SIEM correlation rules and security use cases
- Conduct third‑party and supply chain risk management reviews, including audit report analysis
- Document security procedures, incident response playbooks, and compliance processes
- Perform internal security audits and recurring reviews to ensure adherence to established controls
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to integrate and maintain security controls
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity industry trends
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or compliance, preferably with NIST 800‑171, 800‑172, 800‑53, or CMMC frameworks
- Current DoD 8570 IAT II Certification or equivalent
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience documenting security procedures, incident response playbooks, and compliance controls
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Google Security Operations (Chronicle), MacOS, Git Hub, Notion, and Slack
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, EC‑CSA, or GIAC Certified Detection Analyst are highly desirable
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working in a remote environment
- Security clearance or eligibility to obtain one is required
- Competitive salary range: $93,500—$126,500 USD
