Project Manager, Pacific

Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Professional Services, Pacific department.

Reporting to the Professional Services Manager, this role is focused on managing projects for the implementation of ArcGIS technology across a range of markets in BC and Yukon. The position includes scoping opportunities and developing consulting proposals. The Project Manager will work with Esri Canada consultants including business analysts, solution architects, developers and application specialists to deliver value to customers.

This role will be based remotely anywhere in Canada - Preferably in BC.

A Day in the Life of a Project Manager, Pacific at Esri Canada
  • Manage overall delivery of projects from scoping through to implementation
  • Lead the scoping and definition of consulting services for new opportunities.
  • Define and set project scope, priorities, deadlines, and deliverable schedules
  • Manage the delivery of pre-defined services packages and customer specific projects
  • Facilitate discussion and consensus among various project stakeholders including customers and Esri Canada account managers, business analysts, technical consultants and customers
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues and apply appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Negotiate with clients with respect to project scope, deliverables, timelines, resources and acceptance
  • Monitor and manage project costs and margins
  • Produce status andother project control reports for customers and internal stakeholders including the Professional Services Manager
  • Obtain stakeholdersignoff on deliverables
  • Manage multiple projects and identify priorities to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Manage projects from several days to several months’ duration
  • Manage project scope and costs to meet financial objectives and goals
  • Participate in the company Employee Development Program
  • Provide formal and informal reporting to the Pacific Professional Services Manager as required
  • Follow the Esri Canada Services Delivery Guide
  • Proactively build connections within Esri Canada (professional services, sales, technical support etc)
  • Participate in team activities virtually and/or in-office
  • General duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Professional Services Manager in atimely and professional manner.
What you bring to the team
  • University degreein GIS, geomatics, engineering or equivalent education and experience
  • 3+ years experience as a Project Manager with IT and/or GIS applications
  • Able to qualify forCAPM certification
  • Demonstrable experience developing proposals and/or scopes of work
  • Understand applications of GIS
  • Basic knowledge ofArcGIS technology
  • Familiarity of Professional Service Automation (PSA) applications (optional)

Compensation & Benefits

At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $84,900 to $105,600 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. We regularly benchmark across a variety of positions, industries and levels to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
