Job DescriptionYou will be part of the Middleware (“MDW”) group, responsible for administering the middleware platform and supporting and integrating applications that use this platform.
Responsibilities- Manage the Docker GTS platform (UCP and kube) in Paris and America.
- Provide production support outside of working hours and on weekends; manage call alerts.
- Provide on‑call support as part of follow‑the‑sun for Paris and Asia systems.
- Advise and provide best practices to the team’s customers.
- Help implement and update team standards (installation, best practices, etc.).
- Contribute to the API factory for container lifecycle provisioning and automation (including the Docker part).
- Be process‑oriented and implement common standards, methods, and procedures for all container work; recommend upgrade paths for software and hardware.
- At least 3 years of experience with Docker/Openshift/K8s.
- Proficient scripting skills (shell, Python, etc.).
- Knowledge of the Unix environment.
- French and English language skills (written and spoken).
- Customer‑oriented, able to work independently while interacting with different teams; detail‑oriented.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Self‑motivated and a team player.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Experience working in a 24/7 environment.
- Experience working with distributed teams.
- Experience in operational management.
- Familiarity with the ITIL process.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English – required when collaborating with colleagues and partners outside Quebec.
