Job DescriptionThis is a remote position.
As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will drive the strategy, implementation, and management of the company's infrastructure and Dev Ops practices. This role is instrumental in shaping the technology landscape of the company and enabling innovation through robust infrastructure.
You will architect and optimize the core application deployment platform across both AWS ECS/Fargate and Kubernetes (EKS), ensuring containers are secure, highly available, and efficiently managed. Success in this position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our technology infrastructure.
Requirements Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, Dev Ops, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
- Deep expertise in AWS core services and proven experience designing scalable architectures.
- Proven experience implementing or working within a Git Ops framework.
- Expert proficiency with Terraform and strong experience with Ansible
. - Ability to think strategically, drive innovation, and execute complex technology initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or CKAD.
- Infrastructure Architecture & Management
- Design, implement, and manage the company's entire AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform as the primary IaC tool.
- Leverage Ansible extensively for operating system configuration and automation tasks that require idempotent state management.
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of production systems by designing highly available AWS architectures.
- Containerization & Git Ops Strategy
- Architect and optimize the core application deployment platform across both AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS/Fargate) and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Implement and champion Git Ops methodologies (e.g., using ArgoCD or Flux) where Git is the single source of truth for declarative infrastructure.
- Define and enhance advanced CI/CD pipelines to enable strategies like blue/green or canary releases.
- Security, Observability & Optimization
- Implement and maintain robust security measures across the AWS environment, focusing on IAM Least Privilege, network security, and secrets management (e.g., Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
- Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting (Observability) to ensure system health.
- Drive efficiency and cost optimization through automation, resource rightsizing, and effective utilization of AWS cloud-native technologies.
- Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and developers on cloud best practices, automation tools, and Dev Ops principles.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment pipeline and improve release management processes.
- Uptime and Availability of core production services.
- Deployment Frequency and Lead Time for Changes.
- MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery) and Mean Time to Detection (MTTD).
- Infrastructure Scalability and Cost Efficiency.
- Adoption Rate of Git Ops and IaC code quality.
