Job DescriptionThis is a remote position.
As the PMO, you will play a pivotal role in driving project management processes and agile practices within our organization. Success in this position involves establishing and maintaining project management standards, facilitating agile ceremonies, and ensuring effective collaboration among cross‑functional teams.
Your role is essential in optimizing project delivery, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management or scrum master roles, with a focus on software development projects.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification is required.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other agile collaboration tools.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on driving results and overcoming obstacles.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a technology startup or high‑growth company.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead through change, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and scrum teams, ensuring adherence to agile principles and practices.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize and groom the product backlog.
- Collaborate with technical leads and architects to define and validate technical solutions and dependencies.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and release notes.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery processes.
As PMO/Scrum Lead, you’ll be the force that keeps Yirifi’s cross‑functional teams aligned, focused, and agile. You’ll drive execution across complex product roadmaps, foster sprint discipline, and ensure timely delivery in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.
