Dev Ops Technical Lead
Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dev Ops professional with over 10 years of expertise in automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipeline management. This role focuses on delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions in dynamic SaaS environments, mentoring a small team, and fostering continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Automation Code Development and Maintenance- Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts and frameworks to optimize deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Ensure code quality, security, and scalability by following industry best practices in software engineering and automation.
- Architect, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and other modern tools.
- Integrate automated testing and deployment to enable rapid and reliable releases.
- Deploy and support AWS Lambda functions, enabling event-driven automation and microservices within the AWS environment.
- Oversee configuration, monitoring, and optimization of AWS resources to ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud infrastructure, automation code, and deployment pipelines.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
- Utilize Jira for project management, issue tracking, and workflow automation.
- Coordinate with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
- Monitor system health, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive measures to ensure platform reliability.
- Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of 3 Dev Ops engineers, assisting with cloud architecture, deployment strategies, security practices, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure solutions with business requirements.
- 8–10 years in Dev Ops with extensive hands‑on experience in automation, cloud operations, and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Proficiency with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloud Formation, IAM, IoT Core), Python, Bash, Terraform, and Cloud Formation.
- Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and ECR.
- Strong monitoring and logging skills using Data Dog and Cloud Watch.
- Solid understanding of security architecture, Least Privilege, Zero Trust, IAM, vulnerability assessment, and compliance tools such as Git Leak, Mend.io, Wiz.io, and Guard Duty.
- Jira and Confluence project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (required). Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are preferred.
- Competitive salary range: $110,600 – $199,100 USD per year.
