Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Cybersecurity and Compliance Analyst to join our Technology Infrastructure department.
The Cybersecurity and Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the organization's information systems are secure and compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves monitoring security controls, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with teams to implement best practices for data protection and regulatory compliance.
This role will be based remotely in Canada.

A Day in the Life of a Cybersecurity and Compliance Analyst at Esri Canada:
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Advise on compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and others as applicable.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Provide training and guidance to staff regarding security awareness and compliance requirements.
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and regulatory changes.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks and standards like ISO 27001 and SOC 2
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or Security+ are preferred.
Additional requirements for this position:
- Strong leadership and managerial skills to lead a team and drive security initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex security and network issues.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation & Benefits:
At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $84,900 to $95,000, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
