Our client is seeking a Service Now Architect to design and lead the implementation of complex Service Now solutions across multiple platforms and modules. This role combines solution architecture, project leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring Service Now environments are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

The Service Now Architect will optimize operations, improve process automation, and enable data-driven decision-making while partnering with cross-functional teams to support organizational growth and IT excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Architecture:
    Lead the design and implementation of enterprise Service Now solutions, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM, HRSD, CMDB, and other modules.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to define architectural vision and roadmap for Service Now implementations.
  • Customization & Configuration:
    Oversee module configuration and customization to ensure scalability, maintainability, and best practices.
  • Integration Design:
    Architect integrations with third‑party systems (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory, SAP, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, APIs) for seamless interoperability.
  • Platform Optimization:
    Identify opportunities to enhance performance, usability, and efficiency, reviewing workflows, data models, and integrations.
  • Governance & Security:
    Establish processes to maintain system integrity, data security, and compliance.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
    Guide development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Serve as a subject matter expert, advising teams on architecture, process automation, and platform capabilities.
  • Upgrades & Enhancements:
    Lead platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements while minimizing operational impact.
  • Documentation:
    Produce clear documentation, including architecture diagrams, workflows, and implementation guides.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing Service Now solutions, including 3+ years in a lead or architect role.
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; CAD or CTA certifications preferred.
  • Expertise in Service Now architecture, configuration, and design (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CMDB).
  • Strong knowledge of Service Now platform capabilities, modules, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable solutions, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and emerging modules, aligned with the Common Services Data Model (CSDM).
  • Expertise in optimizing CMDB structure, workflows, and integrations for performance and scalability.
  • In‑depth knowledge of update sets, version control, deployment processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management) and mapping processes to Service Now.
  • Experience leading large‑scale Service Now implementations using agile methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ITOM modules (Discovery, Orchestration, Event Management).
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and integrating them with Service Now.
  • Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines for Service Now deployments.
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks and tools for operational efficiency.
  • Remote‑first role with occasional optional travel for key engagements. Travel will be reimbursed.
  • Only Arizona‑based candidates may apply.
  • Contract‑to‑hire opportunity (minimum 6 months), with potential for earlier conversion based on performance.
