Your role and responsibilitiesWe are looking for a skilled Service Now Application Developer to design, develop, and implement solutions on the Service Now platform that align with business needs. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience developing across various Service Now modules, building custom applications, and integrating third‑party systems using best practices and platform capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, configure, and customize Service Now applications and workflows
Build and maintain custom applications using Service Now Studio and App Engine
Develop scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, etc.)
Collaborate with business analysts and architects to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Integrate Service Now with third‑party applications via REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
Maintain documentation related to development processes, architecture, and solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
Stay current with new Service Now features and releases, and make recommendations for improvements
This job can be performed anywhere in the US
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
2+ years of hands‑on development experience with Service Now
Proficient in JavaScript and Service Now APIs
Experience with core Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, or HRSD
Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
Understanding of data modeling, ACLs, and platform security
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Experience developing custom applications on Service Now App Engine
Knowledge of Service Now Integration Hub, Flow Designer, and Performance Analytics
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Exposure to ITIL practices and service management processes
