How you’ll make an Impact

The Security Engineer is the centralized resource on the Client Onboarding Team who is responsible for implementing and properly configuring security services, ensuring consistent technical delivery and documentation during onboarding, renewal/service addition, and decommission projects for new and existing clients.

Location and Work Expectations

This is a remote position; however, team members should be willing and able to travel if the need arises, though such travel is expected to be infrequent. Candidates with proximity to one of our Centers of Excellence are preferred (Lombard, IL; McLean, VA; Shreveport, LA; Overland Park, KS).

What you will be doing
  • Implementation and configuring new security products
  • Works with the project manager and assigned stakeholders to help plan the technical portions of onboarding and decommission security projects
  • Ensure tool configurations comply with regulations and privacy laws
  • Deploy the security tools in Ntiva’s client environments and core technology stack
  • Verifies all deployed components are properly accounted for in our tools and documented in our customer management systems
  • Helps evolve team process by providing feedback to the team and management
  • Builds strong relationships with cross functional peers & team members alike
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing internally with all levels of management, outside vendors, field techs, and customers
  • Escalates issues and problems appropriately
You’ll be successful in this role if you have experience in/with
  • 8+ years’ experience in IDR and SIEM solutions with knowledge in Arctic Wolf and MS Sentinel
  • 4+ years’ experience in EDR solutions
  • Knowledge of Vulnerability scanning and Penetration testing solutions
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer providing support to a SOC
  • Strong understanding of cyber threats, security principles, and technical expertise
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills to effectively train staff and report to management
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Desired certifications:

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $130,000 per year, plus an annual on-target bonus if applicable. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Details of participation in these plans will be provided if an offer is extended.
