Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Senior Product Data Analyst New United States (Remote)

Steer offers a suite of software tools for today’s automotive repair shop. We combine a mix of software tools that a repair shop needs to run a highly profitable shop, in one user‑friendly, cost‑effective platform. Through the Steer suite, we allow the shop owner to get back to focusing on what matters, and to stop worrying about marketing and customer retention.

Steer began as an online directory for drivers to find a local mechanic. Today we provide a complete Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing suite, complete with text messaging, email automation, direct mail integration, reputation management, appointment reminders, declined/recommended services, and many other features. In August 2024 we acquired Auto Ops, a leader in modern, intelligent, and fully integrated scheduling software for auto repair shops.

  • Product Data – analyze feature adoption and user behavior to support Product Managers.
  • Shop Health & Industry Trends – analyze aggregate data on customer shop performance and provide insights to CS and Marketing teams.

  • Comfortable with command‑line interfaces, Git‑based version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep dbt expertise – extensive experience building clean, tested, and documented data models.
  • Event‑Based Analytics mastery – proficiency with Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Heap.
  • Builder mindset – successfully built a stack from scratch in a previous role.
  • Data quality obsession – spot anomalies, investigate root causes, and fix definitions.

  • Experience merging data from multiple product lines after acquisition.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and the data schemas of Product databases, Hub Spot, and Chargebee.
