The OMS Solutions Architect will lead the design and implementation of Order Management System (OMS) transformation program. This role requires deep expertise in IBM Sterling OMS, IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising and related technologies. The architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions aligned with customers strategic objectives for fulfillment and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Solution Design & Architecture
- Define end-to-end OMS architecture leveraging IBM Sterling OMS, Sterling Intelligent Promising, Sterling Order Hub, Sterling Business Center and Spring boot microservices.
- Design integration strategies with ERP, WMS, CRM, Planning, e-commerce platforms etc
- Ensure architecture supports requirements such as promotions, inventory visibility, EDD, Order and returns orchestration.
- Technical Leadership
- Lead technical workshops and guide teams through design decisions.
- Own and deliver Solution Design, navigate review and sign-off meetings.
- Establish best practices for OMS development, configuration, and deployment.
- Provide governance on CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops processes for OMS solutions.
- Track IBM Sterling product roadmap, and coordinate product upgrades as per business or technical needs.
- Lead/Anchor Solution Implementation phase (detail design, code, test, UAT, production release, post warranty support).
- Lead observability and monitoring requirements and validation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with QVC business and IT stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
- Present solution options, fit-gap analysis, and roadmap to senior leadership.
- Performance & Compliance
- Ensure system scalability, security, and reliability.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Skills & Qualifications Experience
- 12–15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5–10 years in OMS architecture.
- Proven track record of 2+ IBM Sterling OMS implementations for large retailers.
- Strong experience in retail commerce and omnichannel order management.
- IBM Sterling OMS Container version
- IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising Container Version
- Proficiency in Java, XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP web services (Springboot microservices).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Elastic, ELK, Dynatrace, jmeter.
- Deep understanding of order lifecycle, inventory visibility, payment processing, and reverse logistics.
- Experience with integration frameworks and APIs for ERP, WMS, and CRM systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Leadership experience managing teams of 10–30 members.
- Ability to work in Agile delivery environments using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Certifications:
IBM Sterling, Azure Certified Solutions Architect. - Experience with low-code/no-code development approaches.
- Exposure to global OMS programs and multi-region deployments.

Salary and Other CompensationThe annual salary for this position is between $100,470 - $181,000 this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:
