ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and governing secure, scalable infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, ensuring all solutions meet resiliency, performance, and security requirements. This role leads the development of enterprise standards, oversees disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and drives modernization initiatives—including cloud adoption, automation, and application migration. The architect collaborates with IT security and executive leadership to align technology strategies with business needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, and SOC
2. Additionally, the position provides architectural leadership for security innovation and technology assessment, shaping the organization’s long-term technology direction and mentoring technical teams.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, security architecture, or related fields required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.
- Deep expertise in cloud platform architecture (AWS and Azure), hybrid-cloud design patterns, and multi-cloud strategy required.
- Strong knowledge of zero-trust architectures, network security, identity and access management, and secure-by-design principles required.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible; experience with CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms required.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware), containerization (Kubernetes), and cloud-native security frameworks required.
- Demonstrated ability to architect solutions compliant with regulations including HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2, and PCI required.
- Proven experience leading technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and contract negotiations required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated ability to influence executives and cross-functional teams required.
- Experience developing technology roadmaps, architectural standards, and governance frameworks required.
- Ability to mentor engineers, architects, and technical teams in modern architecture practices required.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, Terraform or equivalents) preferred.
