What You’ll Do

As a Data Engineer, you ll be responsible for building robust, scalable solutions using the Microsoft stack and open-source technologies. You ll also have the opportunity to cross-train into Quantexa, one of the world’s leading platforms for contextual decision intelligence.

  • Build and maintain scalable data architectures and back-end systems using Azure, Fabric, Synapse, and Data Lake
  • Develop data pipelines, APIs, and models to support advanced analytics and regulatory reporting
  • Design and deploy dashboards and analytics using Power BI
  • Work with Scala, Spark, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch to manage and transform large data volumes
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-native environment
  • Collaborate in Agile project teams with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Solution Architects
  • Get hands-on training and project experience with Quantexa, including entity resolution, graph analytics, and network modeling
Requirements

Must-have:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or analytics
  • Solid experience with big data frameworks (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, Elastic Stack)
  • Strong programming skills in Scala, Python, or Java
  • Familiarity with Azure, Data Lake, Fabric, or Power BI;
    Experience in Agile delivery environments
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work with the Quantexa platform

Nice-to-have:

  • Background in financial crime, ESG, or financial services
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Microsoft Dev Ops, or cloud-native deployment
  • Consulting or client-facing experience
Education & Background
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering data-focused projects, preferably in a consultancy, financial institution, or regulated environment
