Senior Software Architect

The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for the assuring the applications that are created are in line with Met Life’s architecture board. By this way the apps that are created or updated in Turkey will have better quality, less technical debts. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your strategic thinking, Show and Increase your knowledge about software world as a whole.

Success in this role requires both technical and soft skills. You’ll collaborate closely with Product owners, business analysts, developers, enterprise architectures, security experts in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.

• Join and follow up the activities around the design, develop, testing, and release management of the company’s systems
• Act as technical lead to technical vendor resources
• Participate in the determination and detailing of the application architecture. Directs the determined architecture to the
• Technical teams and makes sure that it is implemented correctly.
• Implement software development principles, best practices and methodologies with alignment to regional standards within Met Life Turkey SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• Establish secure coding best practices and policies in order to ensure the security of Met Life Turkey systems,
• Follow up the fixes of security findings of applications in the field of responsibility
• Develop effective relationships with third‑party vendors to enable successful delivery of services and solutions
• Recommend for long‑term goals and short‑term business needs & application improvements in a fast‑paced environment and growing company
• Examine the review and analysis of design, functional, technical and user documentation.
• Identify potential application problems before they occur and implement or communicate solutions proactively
• Assist in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, science with related business discipline experience.
• 7+ years of experience as a developer/system analyst/solution architect.
• Programming experience in C#, .NET Framework, SQL, MVC Pattern both in internet and desktop environments.
• Solid database design skills in relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, No
  
  SQL database knowledge is plus
• Related work experience with IT Service Management, Application Development, Application Security exposure and experience
• Strong analytical, communication skills combined with very good attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively in dealing with cross‑functional teams in department and global teams, internal and external customers and technical vendor

• Experience with the integration between systems, API design and management with ESB and Microservices is big plus
• Experience in tools such as Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops, Git, Gitlab, CI/CD, Jenkins
• Experience working in Financial Services / Insurance sector is an advantage
• Experience of working in an Agile environment and using Agile methodologies.
