This is a full‑time hybrid role located in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area, allowing for a combination of in‑office and remote work. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Sprint Hive, you will take on responsibilities such as designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure; improving system performance; automating manual processes; responding to system reliability incidents; and conducting root cause analyses. Collaboration with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and operational efficiency will be critical.

Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of our innovative onboarding platform.

• Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering, system architecture, and infrastructure design
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of coding and scripting languages, including Python, Go, or Bash
• Experience with monitoring tools, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and version control systems
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system and application operations efficiently
• Collaborative and communication skills to work in cross‑functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field is preferred
• Prior experience in a similar role within a SaaS or technology‑focused environment is an advantage
