QA Automation Engineer

This is a remote position.

Our client develops and supports software and data solutions across a variety of industries. They want you to get ahead of the market and stay there. They offer a combination of plug and play products that can be integrated with existing systems and processes and can also be customised to client needs. Their capabilities extend to big data engineering and bespoke software development, solutions are available as both cloud-based and hosted.

• Undertake all system and test-related activities, including functional, integration, and regression testing (both manual and automated), ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Drive test automation initiatives, design and build automation frameworks and pipelines, and perform QA checks during development to ensure 'fit-for-purpose' code.
• Eliminate defects pre-deployment, identify, log, track, and coordinate re-testing of defects, and replicate production issues on the QA environment.
• Prepare and maintain all relevant test documentation (scripts, reports, progress charts), coordinate testing activities with third-party suppliers and business lines, and provide user training where required.
• Fully understand system requirements and the application under test, marry technical and business requirements, suggest UX/UI improvements, and estimate QA effort.
• Take responsibility for time management, reporting, risk management, issue management, quality assurance, and change management within the testing process.

• 5+ years as a QA Analyst/similar, preferably in financial services, with 3+ years of dedicated Automation Testing experience.
• Strong blend of technical skills, analysis, testing, and quality assurance to manage product handover from QA to Product Manager and support deployment cycle.
• Proficient with Web and Mobile Test Automation Tools (e.g., Katalon, Selenium, Appium) and capable of investigating suitable new tools.
• Achieving results, commercial/business awareness, excellent verbal and written communication (including reporting/presentations), teamwork, and independent problem solving/decision making.
• Knowledge, implementation, and maintenance of automation tests.
