You'll be part of a supportive, service-minded team that keeps the College running – computers, AV, printers, phones, software, the lot. Every day is different, and you'll see the difference your work makes in classrooms, offices and learning spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Providing responsive, friendly first-line support to staff and students, resolving helpdesk tickets within agreed SLAs.
  • Setting up, maintaining and repairing PCs, laptops, peripherals and audiovisual kit; installing and configuring software as required.
  • Assisting with account administration, asset management (including laptop loans), documentation and routine checks.
  • Helping to monitor stock, raising purchase orders that ensure best value, and supporting safe, secure IT rooms and equipment.
  • Pitching in across the IT Team to keep College systems running smoothly and reliably.
About you
  • Foundation skills in Windows 11, installing/configuring hardware & software, and troubleshooting.
  • Confidence with Microsoft 365 and clear, positive communication with staff, students and external partners.
  • NVQ Level 2 (or above) in IT or equivalent practical experience, plus Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • A team player who's organised, dependable, and happy to work independently when needed across College sites.
  • It would be great if you also have basic networking, helpdesk experience, audio/visual or telephony support, and/or a Microsoft or similar industry certification. A full driving licence is a plus.
In return, we offer a warm and welcoming college with an excellent benefits package that includes:
  • A 25-day annual leave entitlement, plus 8 Bank Holidays and 10 college closure days.
  • A well-respected pension scheme (West Yorkshire Pension Fund with an above average employer contribution)
  • Free parking at all our College sites (on a first come first served basis)
  • Family friendly policies and opportunities for flexible working
  • Superb opportunities for training and development
  • Discounted travel on public transport and a Cycle to work scheme
  • Discounts and offers at major High Street and Online retailers
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
