Position

The Public Safety IT Delivery Center (PSITDC) is looking for a highly organized and ambitious Information Technology (IT) professional to full‑fill our Database Administrator 1 position within our Solutions Management team. Description of Work

This position is responsible for advanced technical work in all phases of database development activities (support the application development lifecycle, planning, design, development, implementation, data migration, quality assurance, data cleanup, and data administration) as well as database operations activities (database administration, database security, assuring availability, server monitoring, performance monitoring, capacity planning, SQL software installation and configuration, and Service Pack installations).

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30‑minute lunch.
  • Telework:
    You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

  • Salary:
    In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • One year as a Database Analyst or Information Technology Generalist 2; or
  • Five years of information technology experience that includes two years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration; or
  • Three years of information technology experience that includes two years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
  • One year of information technology experience in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
