The roleWe’re hiring Founding Account Executives to build our sales motion from the ground up. This is a true full-cycle role. You’ll own deals end-to-end, work directly with the founders, and sell to engineering-led organizations making real infrastructure decisions. There’s no inherited playbook. You’ll help create it.
You won’t be selling fluff. You’ll guide smart, technical buyers through complex decisions, run thoughtful demos, and earn trust by being direct, credible, and curious.
This is an in-person role. We work together in Reston, VA three days per week.
What you’ll do- Hunt and own the deal. Target big-fish accounts and the real decision-makers. Get creative, go direct, and run the deal end to end from first conversation to signed contract. No handoffs. This is your pipeline and your number.
- Craft outreach that cuts through. Write emails and pitches that demand attention and make it obvious why Thoras matters now. Clear, punchy value that hits real technical and business pain, not spam.
- Run high-stakes discovery and demos. Earn trust with engineering, SRE, and platform teams by speaking their language. Navigate complex orgs, align skeptics and champions, and lead executive conversations that tie Thoras to urgent infrastructure problems.
- Build and automate the sales engine. Create sequences, scripts, and content, then automate the grind. You are growth-hacking how we sell so we can scale fast.
- Operate like an owner. Work shoulder to shoulder with the founders. When something breaks, you fix it. Bring unfiltered customer truth into product and GTM, and if buyers are confused or stuck, we fix the system fast.
- Hit or beat quota. Period. Activity does not matter if outcomes do not follow.
- Resilient and accountable. You handle rejection well, adapt quickly, and own outcomes.
- Ego-free executor. You care about winning, not credit, and you follow through.
- Technically curious. You are excited by AI, cloud infrastructure, and reliability. You can go deep with engineers and speak clearly with executives.
- Clear communicator. You explain complex ideas simply, in writing and in conversation.
