Data Analyst, Database Administrator
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance and support. This position is within the Agency Services area supporting MDE, CEPI, MCSC, MDCR, & MiLEAP.

This position functions as an QA analyst, within a team of technology professionals. This position helps with design, development, testing, and on-going enhancements that support the Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) and the following agency systems.

- Michigan Student Longitudinal Data System (MSLDS)
- Nonpublic School Personnel Report (NSPR)
- Registry of Educational Personnel (REP)
- School Infrastructure Database (SID)
- Student Transcript and Academic Record Repository (STARR)
This position is responsible for participation on application development projects which focus on achieving the goals and mission of the agency. This position has responsibilities in all phases of the software development lifecycle related to these systems. Knowledge of quality assurance testing platform(s) as listed within the knowledge skills and abilities section of this position description.

Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
Position Location/Remote Office:
The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

EducationInformation Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 – Possession of a Bachelor’s degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
ExperienceInformation Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 – Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.
