SharePoint Online Migration Program Manager - Consultant
Location: New York City (Hybrid / Occasional Onsite in office)
Job Type: Long Term Contract (12+ months with likelihood to extend)

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant to serve as the Program Manager for a firm-wide migration to SharePoint Online. This role will lead strategic planning, governance, execution, stakeholder engagement, and change management efforts to ensure a successful transition. The Program Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to deliver a secure, scalable, and AI-enabled SharePoint Online environment.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Alignment- Define the migration strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Establish governance frameworks for SharePoint Online.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Design site hierarchy and permissions to support departmental segregation and information barriers.
- Oversee the migration of documents from legacy file shares and SharePoint 2013 sites, and address challenges related to linked files, automated workflows, and undocumented application integrations.
- Track progress across multiple work streams and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Deliver clear, concise status reports and facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to drive firm-wide adoption.
- Provide training and support materials to ensure a smooth transition.
- Architect the SharePoint Online environment to support AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Ensure governance and permissions are configured for secure and effective AI-driven insights.
- Deep understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, governance, and security.
- Hands‑on experience migrating from file shares, SharePoint 2013, and Box.
- Expertise in managing linked files, automated workflows, and complex integrations.
- Strong program management, communication, and change management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
- Familiarity with information walls, departmental segregation, and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering business value.
- Experience with document classification, automated labeling, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and AI enablement within Microsoft 365.
