Job Summary
Heitmeyer has a banking client that requires a Quality Engineer for its Software Quality Engineering organization. The role involves running quality checks on workflow, product, processes, and procedures for a PCI Compliance initiative. The position is open for full remote work and targets an early February start date.
Job DescriptionThe Quality Engineer will use research, troubleshooting, and analytical skills to create, maintain, and execute test cases regarding business processes and procedures to ensure high quality levels.
Top Required Skills- Strong background with data validation and verification, test case development, data mapping and transformation, defect identification, and resolution.
- Automation of data quality checks while maintaining detailed documentation of processes, test cases, and results with the ability to generate reports on quality metrics and progress.
- Experience with Zephyr Scale for test case management and integration with JIRA.
- Ensuring all data quality activities comply with regulatory standards and data security policies.
- Monitoring the performance of data quality processes and recommending improvements.
- Intermediate understanding of software coding principles/standards and architecture, along with awareness of a Dev Sec Ops environment.
- Intermediate research and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across complex stakeholders.
- Experience with SDLC (agile, waterfall, etc.) and intermediate API testing.
- Background working on banking compliance initiatives, especially PCI compliance.
- Automation experience – Selenium, Copado, Playwright.
- Solid background with XLS for reporting and data analysis.
- SharePoint working knowledge and experience.
- Perform quality checks on PCI experience – capturing card information, protecting cardholder data, and meeting Data Security Standards (DSS).
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases across application platforms to verify acceptance criteria and ensure consistent quality.
- Detect, analyze, and report meaningful defects from failed testing results.
- Review actionable metrics and contribute to defect detection improvements to reduce escaped defects.
- Collaborate with product teams on application user experience improvement and efficiency opportunities.
- Complete and contribute to quality documentation and artifact tasks to support adherence to audit processes and procedures.
- Maintain and grow updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
- Assist in triaging automated test results.
