Data Analyst (D365 Migration) – Contract – Hybrid – Chicago, IL
Resource 1, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a long‑term contract in downtown Chicago. The role involves on‑site work 2 days per week (Tues/Wed or Tues/Thurs) and supports a multi‑year financial transformation initiative that includes the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics to replace legacy applications.
Base Pay Range$90.00/hr – $110.00/hr
Location & ScheduleHybrid – 2 days onsite in downtown Chicago. Remote work otherwise.
Responsibilities- Analyze and document current‑state legacy/source systems and data architecture to inform future state.
- Create and maintain detailed source‑to‑target mappings to guide the migration and ensure correct data transformation.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure accurate mapping and transformation across systems.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract and validate data across large datasets.
- Use a CDQ tool to cleanse and profile data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Conduct data validation and reconciliation before, during, and after migration to ensure consistency across systems.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Business Analysts, the ERP team, and legacy system SMEs to ensure data readiness for the new platform.
- Provide ongoing support to consulting partners performing migrations before, during, and after the project, addressing any data‑related requests or issues.
- Experience with data migration projects, specifically with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365.
- Experience creating source‑to‑target mappings.
- Proficiency in SQL, with experience in data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Hands‑on experience in data cleansing and data profiling.
- Experience with data quality tools (such as CDQ, Info Sphere, Talend).
- Proven experience working with complex data sets and ecosystems.
- Experience working on D365 data migration projects.
- Experience with Informatica CDQ is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing or supply chain industries.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops (ADO) for tracking and documentation.
