Our client, a leading IT network firm from Japan, is seeking a highly skilled Global Delivery Manager (DM) / Service Manager (SM).
The role acts as a strategic bridge between the company and a major Japanese telecommunications services company, managing key stakeholders and ensuring smooth communication and project coordination. The customers served are accounts managed by our business partner.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact with local carriers and vendors to gather essential information, fulfil necessary requests, and respond to customer inquiries both in Japan and globally.
- Manage projects that require close, real‑time communication in English with the client’s overseas subsidiaries, coordinating with IT staff on IT design, construction, and operations.
- Facilitate agreements between Japanese customers and overseas companies (non‑Japanese IT staff), ensuring smooth collaboration as part of global business operations.
- Collect comprehensive information from carriers and vendors, demonstrating a strong understanding of the partner’s service approach. For example, the partner prioritises customer satisfaction and successful project completion. When a customer inquiry is received, they expect a response from overseas carriers/vendors, even if the question seems outside the contract scope or unusual from the vendor’s perspective.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any field.
- 5–7 years of experience in a Japanese IT telecommunications firm, including roles such as Project Manager or Service Manager.
- Proficiency in Japanese (N1 level) to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SD‑WAN (Software‑Defined Wide Area Network) technologies and management.
