Technical Support Engineer

Overview

Lucera Financial Infrastructures is hiring a Level 2 Application Support Engineer for our Belfast office to help expand our global support footprint for our suite of core products used by financial services clients.

We are looking for someone who has 3+ years’ experience working primarily with customer support in financial services. This role works effectively as part of the local and wider global team, with the ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership.

• Provide Level 2 application support for core products; work with local and global teams to resolve incidents and support requests
• Assist with customer onboarding and ongoing client support
• Adapt to changing circumstances and support processes to maintain service quality
• Apply strong Unix/Linux skills to support activities

• A passion for technology, with an ability and desire to pick up new technologies
• Experience of first and second level support, and client onboarding
• Understanding of support processes, and ability to react and adapt to changing circumstances
• Strong skills in Unix/Linux based environments
• Experience with Financial Services, in particular concepts of Market Data and Order Entry
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of common scripting languages and ability to automate common processes, and interact with existing frameworks

• Messaging protocols, in particular FIX & ITCH
