About the roleWe are seeking a Dev Ops Manager with experience leading Dev Ops teams for one or more SaaS products. Ideally, you are a former Dev Ops Engineer who has moved into management while maintaining a solid grasp of the technical work your team does. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with Services, Support, Product, and Software Engineering regularly.

As a Dev Ops Manager you will be responsible for the UAE Dev Ops team that performs triage, data store operation, SRE, and Dev Ops work in our product running in the UAE region. You will work closely with Software Engineers and Dev Ops Engineers, and you will partner with leaders across the organization to ensure the product works while meeting data sovereignty requirements.

- Ensure your team is consistently delivering at a high pace and meeting deadlines
- Balance and prioritize team workload across innovation, engineering support, customer support, and tech debt
- Continue to hire, develop, and mentor best-in-class Dev Ops Engineers
- Maximize uptime across all product lines and help author customer-facing root cause analyses for any service interruptions
- Iterate on and improve our CI/CD processes
- Control costs to ensure target gross margin is achieved
- Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
- Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance (ISO
27001, SOC1, SOC2, PCI, IRAP, C5, FedRAMP, etc.)
- 2+ years in a management role, preferably in Dev Ops or Site Reliability, over a team managing public cloud infrastructure
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Dev Ops or SRE Engineer in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available SaaS/cloud service; AWS strongly preferred
- A track record of providing a superior customer experience
- The ability to evangelize automation and testing
- A passion for creating a culture of inclusiveness and compassion
- A history of leveraging data to objectively measure impact and optimize people/engineering processes

Within the first 30 days you will
- Complete any training required by compliance or cyber security
- Work on hiring the team
- Set up stand-ups and Kanban or sprint planning for the team
- Be aware of on-call rotation and incidents

- Review and understand the SailPoint SDLC
- Set up regular 1x1s with team members
By 90 days
- Be involved in past quarterly reviews, capacity review, and future quarterly planning
- Have a strong understanding of the observability and monitoring capabilities of the team and any gaps
- Have a strong understanding of the tech debt backlog and prioritization for the team
- Begin leading and taking full accountability for projects
