The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and computer systems. You will participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with IT business needs. You will also identify and resolve problems within the infrastructure that can lead to work disruptions, and provide expert technical support to multiple clients, ensuring their systems are secure and performing at peak level.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain our Windows‑based systems and infrastructure in close collaboration with our IT team.

• Design, implement and maintain server and cloud‑based computing solutions
• Provide expert technical support to clients, resolving any system issues
• Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying improvement areas
• Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and trends in systems engineering
• Apply cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls and secure system configurations
• Plan and support disaster‑recovery strategies, regaining access and functionality to IT infrastructure
• Perform remote work and periodic onsite client visits throughout the NYC metro area

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• At least five years of proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects

• Systems administration: proficiency in managing and maintaining computer systems
• Network protocols: understanding of network communication protocols
• Hardware configuration: knowledge of configuring hardware components
• Software deployment: ability to deploy and manage software solutions
• Scripting languages: excellent scripting skills using languages
• Security knowledge: familiarity with system security practices

In compliance with the state and city salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $90,000 to $125,000 which represents a range commensurate with experience.
