This role is designed for an accomplished engineer who excels at ownership, strategic impact, and solving intricate technical problems. You will develop the most critical features of a product while influencing its technical trajectory and safeguarding its long-term resilience and expansion. The technical choices you make will have direct consequences for the product and its user base, granting you the freedom to innovate and the accountability to execute.

• Teach Tap:
  Uses AI to animate historical figures in a Tik Tok-style learning format.
• Teach Tales:
  Captivates students through personalized, enchanting storytelling that enhances understanding.
• Time Back:
  Functions as a learning copilot integrated with existing applications, actively guiding students.
• Athena:
  Employs AI-generated videos and assessments to produce measurable educational results.

You will lead the technical advancement of our products, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and robustness over time. Working in close partnership with product teams, you will convert high-level requirements into technical architecture and address complex obstacles while upholding rigorous quality benchmarks. Your choices will define the product’s trajectory and affect how thousands of students engage with learning.

• Feature Development:
  Architecting and delivering new features with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and sustained product value.
• Requirement Engineering:
  Partnering with the product team to clarify requirements and guiding technical conversations to ensure features align with product objectives.
• Operations and Maintenance:
  Overseeing and sustaining product stability, optimizing performance, and proactively detecting and addressing issues.
• Technical Design:
  Making high-stakes technical choices that directly influence user experience and product scalability.

• Jumping between short-lived projects or pursuing the latest hype-driven technology fad.
• Contributing to internal IT systems or outsourced assignments lacking tangible user impact.
• Being trapped in endless meeting cycles or handling tedious infrastructure complications.

• At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
• At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
• At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
• Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
