Informatica Manager – NYC Department of Finance
Location: New York, NY
We are looking for an experienced Informatica Manager to lead the CPA Informatica team within the Citywide Payment Applications Unit of the Finance Information Technology Division.
Responsibilities- Manage FIT’s Citywide Payment Applications (CPA) Informatica team.
- Plan, develop, maintain, and enhance CPA Informatica applications, including SQL and file transfer scripting.
- Provide senior technical responsibility for complex software functions related to operating systems, online applications, mobile applications, programming software products, websites, and quality assurance.
- Serve as in‑house expert, coordinate multiple ongoing projects of technical complexity.
- Manage administrative functions such as scheduling, issue support and upgrades.
- Code ETL data loads and transformations for new and existing data transformations.
- Code PL/SQL queries as part of the ETL development.
- Recommend development and coding strategies and provide guidance to business analysts.
- Analyze and tune current code to maximize workflow efficiencies.
- Provide support for shell scripts related to the system, including notification emails.
- Troubleshoot issues, restore service, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend long‑term solutions.
- Manage transition to a cloud‑based Informatica version.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
This position may be eligible for remote work up to two days per week under the Remote Work Pilot Program.
Program:
Computer Specialist (Software) – 13632.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related field, and two years of satisfactory full‑time software experience.
- A four‑year high school diploma or equivalent, and six years of full‑time software experience.
- A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to the above descriptions.
NOTE:
Project leader or major contributor experience must be documented in detail. Experience in computer operations, technical support, QA, hardware installation, help desk, or end‑user roles does not qualify.

Note:
To be eligible for Assignment Level IV, individuals must have one year of satisfactory experience as a project leader or major contributor in data administration, database management systems, operating systems, data communications systems, capacity planning, and/or online applications programming.
- 5+ years of Informatica ETL development experience (Informatica Power Center 10+).
- Cloud Informatica experience.
- 3+ years programming PL/SQL with Oracle.
- 3+ years experience with UNIX/Linux platform.
- Informatica‑certified ETL Developer.
- In‑depth knowledge of Informatica Support Console.
- Shell scripting experience in Linux 8.x.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of Oracle database fundamentals.
- Availability to support after‑hour operational issues.
- Team management experience.

Salary: $132,170 – $153,499.
