Technical Program Manager, Autonomy & Robotics

Overview

Staff Technical Program Manager, Autonomy & Robotics at Door Dash Labs. You will join a team building autonomous delivery robots and other autonomy solutions for Door Dash s core delivery platform. This is a central role within the robot operations team as we scale and optimize last-mile deliveries using autonomy. This position is on-site in Phoenix, AZ five days per week, with occasional travel to SF Bay Area locations.

• Interface daily with operations, hardware, software, autonomy, safety and testing teams.
• Report to the manager of the Technical Program Management team and drive cross-functional programs.
• Investigate robot fleet health and operational issues using deep technical and data analytics skills.
• Initiate and drive software and hardware improvements to the delivery robot fleet and related operations.
• Collaborate with operations teams in the Phoenix area to understand pain points and opportunities for improvement.
• Engage cross-functionally with Hardware, Software, Firmware, Controls, Dev Ops, Release Management and Operations to drive process improvements across engineering and operations.

• Bachelor s Degree in a technical field
• 6+ years of experience in technical program management, ideally for an autonomous vehicle (AV) company
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail
• Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in dynamic environments
• Ability to mine and use data to drive technical analysis
• Ability to operate under ambiguity and organize disparate ideas into a cohesive plan
• Working understanding of autonomy concepts and AV testing procedures
• Quantitative reasoning skills
• Familiarity with program management tools
• Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet/MS Project, Google Workspace
