Analytics Engineer

About the role

As the Analytics Engineer on the Cyber Analytics team, you will transform raw data into organized, usable, well‑documented, and tested data models. These models will empower security teams to derive insights and develop reporting capabilities, advanced analytics, machine learning, and GenAI solutions to strengthen our security defences.

• Transform raw data into organized, documented, and tested data models.
• Implement ETL/ELT pipelines that move data between raw, trusted, and curated layers of the data lake, supporting real‑time and batch cyber use cases.
• Implement logical and physical data models for cyber data products that support threat detection, incident response, and reporting.
• Produce high‑quality code and documentation for data pipelines, models, and their quality metrics.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and members of the data team, and actively participate in monitoring and improving data quality for cyber data products.

• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python.
• Good working knowledge of ETL and ELT frameworks, data modelling, and orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, e.g., Databricks on Azure.
• Solid understanding of data lake and data warehouse concepts.
• Practical experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Strong passion for big data, data modelling, data quality, and ETLs.
