OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to lead and execute contracting activities across U.S. Government, commercial, and international customers. This role partners closely with Business Development, Finance, Engineering, and Program teams to enable growth while ensuring compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
This is a remote position, with preference for candidates near Washington, DC.
Key Responsibilities Government Contracting (Primary)- Own the full lifecycle of federal contracts (DoD & Civil), including drafting, negotiation, administration, modifications, and closeout.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, cybersecurity clauses, and export control requirements.
- Support proposal efforts with contractual language, pricing inputs, T&Cs, and risk analysis.
- Manage subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, flow‑downs, and procurement documentation.
- Interface directly with contracting officers, program managers, and legal stakeholders.
- Maintain contract files, deliverables, reporting, and audit‑ready documentation.
- Draft and negotiate MSAs, SaaS and licensing agreements, SOWs, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
- Support contracts with foreign governments and international partners, ensuring compliance with ITAR/EAR, sanctions, and anti‑corruption laws.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel on cross‑border risk and approvals.
- Partner with BD, Finance, Engineering, Security, and Program teams during deal shaping and execution.
- Provide guidance on contract interpretation, compliance obligations, and risk exposure.
- Support audits, CPSRs, regulatory reviews, and internal compliance initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on contract and compliance impacts.
- Conduct vendor and subcontractor due diligence and support corrective action plans.
- 4–8+ years of experience in contracts management, procurement, or related roles.
- 5+ years managing and negotiating U.S. Government / DoD contracts.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and the federal acquisition process.
- Experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts and teaming agreements.
- Expertise in contract risk analysis, compliance reporting, and cost/price analysis.
- Knowledge of government IP, software, and data rights.
- Ability to analyze RFPs and solicitation requirements.
- Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business judgment and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience in startup or high‑growth environments.
- Commercial and international contracting experience.
- Ability to prioritize and operate effectively in ambiguous settings.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
