The Digital team focuses on delivering a superior customer experience on and our mobile app. The team also guides revenue and profit growth for the digital business. Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs.
We work to showcase our brand digitally through the lens of expertise and love and to provide a personalized experience for our consumers. The team takes a data‑driven approach and leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the experience and make business decisions.
This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. Associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). Our hybrid approach is designed to foster strong collaboration while also supporting flexibility and individual success.
About The JobThe Site Merchandising team enhances the digital shopping journey. They provide an optimized digital experience for our consumers, backed by best‑in‑class, data‑driven insights, and are accountable to the company's priorities. Responsibilities include driving digital business, optimizing the shopping journey, testing and iterating capabilities, managing content, and conducting business analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership
- Develop annual & quarterly strategies in partnership with Merchandising and Marketing partners.
- Ensure alignment on priorities & adapt strategies based on real‑time results.
- Customer Journey Optimization
- Drive visits, clarity, clicks, and conversions across the site.
- Lead internal search optimization & communicate needs for curated product listing pages.
- Basket Building & Testing
- Identify opportunities for cross‑merchandising and support basket‑building efforts.
- Collaborate with the A/B testing team to implement and evaluate tests.
- Content Strategy
- Assess and elevate content strategies to drive conversion.
- Build strategy briefs & manage the planning process.
- Performance Tracking and Data Analytics
- Monitor KPIs, provide insights, and make recommendations for future actions.
- Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to develop reporting mechanisms.
- Team Development
- Foster a culture of belonging and prioritize team performance.
- Advocate for team members’ growth through stretch projects and mentorship.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Site Merchandising, Content Management and/or E‑commerce.
- Strong business and digital acumen.
- A team player with solid interpersonal and organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to navigate and build trust in a complex organization.
- Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings with senior‑level business partners.
- This role requires collaboration, teamwork, and face‑to‑face interaction with colleagues, leaders, and/or clients.
- Being in the office ensures access to leaders, cross‑functional partners, and resources necessary to make timely decisions and drive results.
