QA Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with dedication and an eye for detail to ensure quality software for our customers. Use your strong expertise in networking and system administration to build our SaaS software products. You are an integral part of our team, supporting software quality testing that is pivotal for our growing suite of automated endpoint management platforms.
You will work with a diverse squad of software development engineers, validating the functionality of new product features, designing and implementing test cases, and deep testing at the systems level.
We are flexible on remote working from home if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL for those who prefer a hybrid option.
What You’ll Be Doing- Become an in‑house IT operations expert on our suite of software products and shape the future of MSPs and IT teams.
- Conduct comprehensive software testing to guarantee impeccable feature releases, develop and maintain accurate test plans, and ensure compliance across all platforms.
- Create detailed reports on the quality and functionality of software applications after thorough testing, documenting defects clearly for development teams.
- Recommend enhancements to current testing methodologies, tools, and processes to refine and iterate our QA practices.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and leaders throughout the software development life cycle to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Perform other duties as needed and communicate outstandingly.
- Bachelor's degree in technology is a distinct advantage, though not mandatory.
- 5+ years of recent experience in roles such as Technical IT Support, Product Support, or Systems Engineering is essential.
- 2+ years of scripting experience in Power Shell, Bash, Batch, Python, or similar.
- Experience with at least two of the following operating systems:
Windows, Mac, or Linux, including system settings and the Windows Registry. - Experience with computer networking, network equipment setup, and network hardware.
- Experience working with Postgre
SQL, SQL, or MySQL databases. - Experience setting up and configuring virtual machines (VMs) – ESXi and Hyper‑V are advantageous.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare Fusion, Virtual Box, or Parallels.
- Proficiency in command‑line and Power Shell tools for operating system administration.
- Ability to collect and analyze log files for troubleshooting.
- Experience with APIs;
Postman experience is a plus. - Experience with remote‑control tools such as Team Viewer, Splashtop, Any Desk, or Connect Wise.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, especially SNMP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, and DNS.
- Experience with Jira and the Jira X‑Ray extension.
- Collaborative mindset with clear communication of feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving.

- Starting pay depends on location, market demands, experience, skills, and other factors.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO. Base salary range for CA, CO, MD, NJ, WA, and NY is $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
