The Banner Support Operations Specialist (Business Systems & Procedures Professional) will provide direct hands‑on management, support and development of Banner and other primary enterprise applications as part of UNC System Office's ERP Services Team for a variety of projects at the UNC System Office and constituent institutions specifically ERP Shared Services clients. The position will also provide operational business process analysis/review to identify and implement best business practice solutions and business rules to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness, and to ensure that the University is compliant with State, Federal Government, and University of North Carolina regulatory requirements.
This position is a remote work arrangement with occasional travel required to the UNC System Office located in Raleigh, NC. UNC System employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2‑hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills- Banner Data Model:
Must be extremely familiar with the Banner data model, specifically related to HR, its naming conventions, and have experience extracting and transforming this information for a variety of purposes. Direct experience with the HR data structures is required and prefer to have experience with other modules as well. - Functional Enterprise Application Expertise:
This position requires an in-depth understanding of ERP systems and modules, report writing development, and functional expertise with Banner HR and other primary enterprise applications used in Higher Education.
